Community Guidelines

The basics

These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service. If you see something that breaks them, report it.

Adults only

Everyone on Gyvio must be 18 or older. Don't create an account for someone younger, don't let a child use your account, and don't show children in Meet. We have zero tolerance for anything that sexualises, grooms or exploits children, including drawings and AI-made images. We remove it, ban the accounts involved and report it to the authorities. See Child safety.

Nudity and sexual content

Not allowed anywhere on Gyvio: posts, statuses, Flicks, comments, stickers, profile photos, chats, rooms, calls or Meet.

• No nudity or sexual acts, real or animated.
• No sexually explicit talk or pictures sent to anyone who hasn't asked for them.
• No offering or asking for sexual services, including "paid content" arrangements.
• Never share intimate images of anyone without their consent, and never threaten to (sextortion). We treat this as one of the most serious breaches.

Art, breastfeeding and health or medical information are fine when they are clearly not sexual.

Harassment and bullying

• No insults, threats, intimidation or repeated unwanted contact.
• No mocking people for their looks, body, health or disability.
• No encouraging others to pile on someone.
• If someone blocks you or asks you to stop, stop. Don't create new accounts to reach them.

Hate

No attacks on people for their ethnicity, tribe, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or serious illness. That includes slurs, dehumanising comparisons, calls for exclusion or violence, and hateful symbols used to promote hate.

Violence and dangerous behaviour

• No threats of violence, and no praising or supporting violent or terrorist groups.
• No graphic violence or gore shared to shock or glorify.
• No promoting self-harm, suicide or eating disorders. If you are struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or a local helpline. Talking about your experience in a supportive way is welcome.
• No dangerous challenges or stunts that could get people hurt.

Be real

• Don't impersonate a person, brand or organisation, including Gyvio staff.
• Don't create fake accounts, or accounts to get around a ban or block.
• Don't use bots, scripts or paid services to gain followers, likes, views, streaks or ranks.
• Don't mislead people in ways that could cause real harm, such as fake health cures or false emergency alerts.

Other people's privacy

• Don't share someone's private information without their permission: phone numbers, addresses, ID documents, bank details, or where they are.
• Don't record, screenshot or share someone from a call or Meet without their permission.
• Don't post photos or videos of people in private situations without their consent.

Scams, spam and money

Dash Coins are worth real money, so we take fraud seriously.

• No scams, fake giveaways, "double your coins" schemes, or selling or buying coins outside Gyvio.
• No asking people for their spending passcode, Google password or bank details.
• No moving people off Gyvio to take payment elsewhere.
• No faking activity to earn coins: fake or shared accounts to collect referral bonuses, giveaway prizes or tips, or sending coins back and forth to make earnings look real.
• If you run a giveaway, describe it honestly and pick real winners by the rules you set. See Giveaways.
• No spam: repeated identical comments, mass unwanted messages, or misleading links.

Illegal goods and activity

No buying, selling or promoting illegal drugs, weapons, stolen goods, counterfeit items, fake documents, gambling services, or anything else that is illegal in Nigeria or where you are. No using Gyvio to plan or carry out a crime, or to launder money.

Your content and other people's work

Only post what you made or have the right to share. Don't post other people's videos, music, photos or writing as your own. The sound from a video you post can be reused by others on Gyvio, credited to you; don't post sounds you don't have the right to share. If you believe your work was posted without permission, email support@salesive.com (subject: "Gyvio support") with a link to it and proof that it is yours.

Meet rules

Meet puts you on video with someone you don't know yet. You agree to these rules before your first chat:

We also ask that you:

• keep your face and yourself on camera; no pointing it at a screen, a photo or something offensive,
• keep children out of shot,
• don't record, screenshot or stream anyone,
• don't ask strangers for money, coins, contact details or to move to another app,
• don't advertise or promote anything,
• don't use a fake camera, pre-recorded video or anything else that hides who you are,
• use Add friend only if you want to be friends; if they don't tap it too, let it go,
• report anyone who breaks these rules.

Rooms

These guidelines apply in every room, public or private. Room owners choose who can join a private room and can turn on disappearing messages, but they can't make rules that override ours. Public rooms are visible to everyone in Discover, so keep them suitable for anyone on Gyvio.

What happens when rules are broken

We look at what happened, how serious it was, and whether it has happened before. We may:

• remove the content,
• give a strike, which can lower your trust level and with it your limits on tips, top-ups, cash-outs and giveaways (see limits),
• ban you from Meet, for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, and then until we review it,
• suspend your account, so you can look around but not post, pay or chat,
• ban your account from Gyvio,
• hold back or reject cash-outs of coins earned by breaking the rules,
• report it to the police or other authorities.

For the most serious breaches, such as anything involving children, sextortion, credible threats or large-scale fraud, we ban on the first offence. If you think we got it wrong, see If we took action on your account.
